Digital Tour to Denmark

01.04.2019  19:35
Don't miss the opportunity to visit one of the world's most digitalized countries. Join us for this year’s Digital Tour to Denmark from Tuesday, June 4th to Friday, June 7th, 2019. The tour has two tracks - Digital Health and Public Sector Digitalization.

Digital tour 2019

We invite you to participate in the Digitour 2019 that inspires you with Danish experiences from either Digital Health or Public Sector Digitalization. The joint tour consists of two separate tracks and includes visits to Ministries, Agencies and departments in the Danish public sector and the digital health sector to give you an understanding of the Danish digital journey. You get in-person discussions with the decision makers who drove - and still drive - the digitization in Denmark. Public/private partnerships is the key to innovation in the Danish government. Therefore, you will meet the industry partners to the Danish public sector.

Also, you will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas with Canadian and Danish digital health and digital government thought leaders, and learn about what makes Denmark an international front-runner when it comes to digital health and public sector digitalization. Please see the tracks below:

The Danish Embassy in Ottawa and the Royal Danish Consulate General in Toronto host and fulfill the trip and accompany the delegation.

Public Sector Digitization

Denmark has the world’s most digital government

Denmark is one of the world’s most digitalised countries. Most transactions are cashless, and almost all interaction with the Danish government takes place online. The Agency for Digitization recently released the concept of "World-class Digital Service" and with this, we invite you to come and experience it for yourself.

Digital by default

If you need to pay your taxes, report a bicycle theft, or make an appointment with the public sector in Denmark, you can do it all from your computer. Almost every agency or public official can be reached online, and each citizen has a specific digital signature to “sign” important documents.

The Danish government has made a commitment to go “digital by default”, with paper used only as a last resort. The high level of broadband penetration in Denmark makes digital-only services practical and accessible. Data security and privacy is a high priority in Denmark. Financial transactions and other important services require "two-factor" identification to complete.
