Subsidized Agricultural Mission to Denmark, open to members of the Canadian agriculture community

21.03.2014  16:43

Denmark is known for its highly innovative, efficient, and environmentally sustainable agriculture sector.  With the recent signing of Canadian - EU trade agreement, the sector provides attractive opportunities for increased trade with Canada.
The Royal Danish Consulate General in Toronto in cooperation with Agromek, the largest Agricultural Fair in Northern Europe, is organizing a business mission to Denmark for a group of Canadian agriculture stakeholders. The delegation will take place on November 24-28, 2014.
The mission is partially subsidized and includes trip organization, all accommodations in Denmark, full access to the Agromek trade show, plus some meals and site visits to local agricultural sites. The trip would allow the participants to learn about current Danish best practices and innovation within livestock equipment, crop management, agricultural machinery, energy and a few other sectors presented at the show. Moreover, it is a chance for those interested in doing business with Denmark to network directly with companies wishing to do business in Canada and seeking distributors.
Registration is limited to ~25 people and deadline for signing up is May 16, 2014. The estimated total cost is CAD 2,500 (which includes hotel accommodations, access to Agromek, opening party, local site visits and most meals) plus the cost of flight.
