TC Canada and the Danish Embassy in Ottawa have been active in Canada for decades and have built extensive local networks and knowledge.
Over the past 3 years, TC Canada has not had any dissastisfied customers. After each assignment, the Danish companies are asked to evaluate the services provided. On average, 96% of our customers are either "Very satisfied" or "satisfied". The customer satisfaction levels place TC Canada in Top 3 among ~90 TC offices around the world. This makes us proud and even more determined to keep up the good work in close cooperation with our partner companies.

Identification, initial contact and meeting set-up with potential partners is one of the most common types of assignment carried out by TC Canada. Over the years, and through our multitude of assignments we have built up a strong knowledge of distribution networks, industry landscapes, effective distribution strategies, etc.
Canada is not a country known for political interference in everyday business life, yet companies operating in Canada can be in need of engaging in dialogue with public authorities as either part of a direct strategy to change frameworks or as part of a more defensive approach to keep things status-quo. We use our close connections to the Royal Danish Consulate General and the Danish Embassy in Ottawa, who as official representatives from Denmark, often are in a strong position to help identify the relevant stakeholders, and thereby gain access to the relevant public authorities, associations etc.
Often, information on tariff and non-tariff barriers when exporting to a country within a given business field can be difficult to find and to verify. The Trade Advisors at TC Canada have years of experience within this field and are able to collect all relevant information about market entry to one or more of Canada’s provinces.
TC Canada offers Danish companies office facilities within the premises of the Consulate General in Toronto and TC Canada can help the Danish company register as a company in Canada, if needed. Three types of incubator facilities are offered: Virtual office, part time office and a full time office. Whether an office is relevant and which kind of office is relevant for a Danish company highly depends on sector and ambition held by the Danish company.
Even though Canada is a relatively “easy” export market, moving to Canada and engaging in long term partnerships with a local partner can be quite a challenge for a company with limited resources. In a number of cases, Danish companies have engaged TC Canada to become their first “agents” in Canada. As “agent” TC Canada will represent the Danish company in Canada and identify customers and carry out sales meeting with potential customers. The feedback and success rate of the sales work done by TC Canada gives the Danish companies a strong indication of real market potential before more resources are invested in growing a Canadian market.
TC Canada often assists Danish companies in organizing dinners and receptions in Canada for potential partners, customers, policy makers, journalists etc. The dinners or receptions are usually held at the residence of the Danish Ambassador in Ottawa or at the residence of the Head of the Royal Danish Consulate General in Toronto. Hosting a dinner or a reception is an excellent way to build face to face networks and using the brand of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to invite and implement the dinner/reception adds significantly value to the perception of the Danish company by Canadian counterparts.
TC Canada can assist Danish companies with limited experience in Canada in recruitment of qualified employees. TC Canada can assist in the entire process from dialog about qualification needs, to decision on recruitment plant form, to screening and interview and to signing of contracts.
TC Canada takes on-going initiative to develop delegations and fact-finding missions for Danish companies. In this regard it is often beneficial for a number of Danish companies working within the same industry to join up as a collective unit in order to introduce them jointly to Canada and the Canadian market opportunities. Also Danish trade associations and organisations can benefit from this strategy. When having delegations over, TC Canada will usually arrange site-visits to the relevant companies and/or public authorities. Moreover, TC Canada arranges bilateral meetings between each of the Danish companies and relevant Canadian customers, distributors, partners, etc.
