Temporary Application Guidelines

Before submitting an application for a visa, please keep the following in mind:

  • The Canadian travel advisories for Denmark and Iceland are still in effect.
  • You must still self-quarantine for 14 days upon your return to Canada.
  • Depending on the type of your visit, there may be minimum requirements in terms of length of stay. Please carefully read the regulations on the official information portal for COVID-19 for Denmark.
  • Depending on the type of your visit, you may be required to submit documentation in addition to the regular visa checklist. Please familiarise yourself with the requirements on the information portal.
  • Please note that we no longer process applications for Norway or Sweden. Please contact their respective Embassies for assistance.
  • Please be aware that Iceland has introduced screening tests for Covid-19 and mandatory quarantine on arrival to Iceland. Please read more about the travel restrictions here and the mandatory tests and quarantine here.).

Please use the online booking module provided by VFS Global for an appointment to submit your application.

It is important that you arrive on time for your appointment. Please do not arrive early, as time is needed to properly sanitise between applicants. Appointments for late arrivals will be rescheduled.

Apply online and make your payment on ApplyVisa. It will not be possible to pay the fee at the VFS Global office.

Please review the document checklists carefully and ensure to bring all of the required documents, so we can handle all applicants in a timely manner.
