The Trade Council (TC Canada) is part of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. TC North America’s mandate is to assist Danish companies in expanding or initiating business activities in the North American market. We partner with companies from the Kingdom of Denmark in a variety of activities ranging from e.g. developing market analysis and entry strategies to partner and customer searches. PR activities, recruiting, creating events, and delegation, as well as first-line sales efforts, are also among our many different tasks.

1. Health & Life Sciences and District Energy. Application No.: TC-8
The Position
We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified intern to assist our consultancy team within Health, Life Sciences and District Energy in Toronto. You will be an integrated part of the team’s daily work, and will be an important contributor on relevant projects. We aim to provide experience in both project management, as well as, exposure to business development for Danish companies who are interested in expanding their business activities across North America. You will achieve a good understanding of the North American market (Canada and the US) with both commercial and public affairs assignments.
Your internship will consist of, but is not limited to:
Main responsibility: Support the Advisory Team by carrying out the following activities:
- Market analysis and research to support market assessments
- Preparation and execution of client meetings (virtual and/or in-person)
- Preparation of market background and value propositions for clients
- Development, coordination, and execution of Danish trade delegations
- Creating and executing ongoing networking events
- Communication: Developing and managing general and sector-specific internal and external communications (e.g. Facebook & LinkedIn posts)
- Ad hoc assistance: Assistance with ongoing activities, incoming/outgoing visits, and practical tasks
The Candidate
- Must currently be enrolled in a Danish educational program with a minimum of a Bachelor Degree (i.e.Business Administration, International Business, or Law).
- Interest in Danish energy solutions from a commercial angle is an asset.
- A good team player who's comfortable driving independent projects and taking on responsibility.
- Strong work ethic, analytical skills, and commercial mindset.
- Strong experience in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- As a team, we are measured on customer satisfaction and value creation, so being service-minded and customer-oriented is key.

2. Arctic Advisory & Market Entry. Application No.: TC-9
The Position

Our office is located in the center of Toronto. Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America and is considered the commercial capital of Canada. We are a team of 12 ambitious and competent Canadian and Danish employees.
